Fall Trend alert: peplum
Peplum is super hot this fall! Will you be rockin it?
Lancome renergie eclat multi- lift
Thank God I got this for a deep discount!! And even so, it put me back $50! Regular price is $75! I wanted a tinted moisturizer for the summertime and sometimes my beer budget has a taste for champagne. So I hit up my Lancome counter at my part time job and thought I'd use my employee discount. Now, the simple fact that I didn't use this small bottle (40mL) up this summer, not even half, should tell you alot. This product made my face an oily, greasy mess. I picked color #4 and it wasn't a perfect match, it was a little too red and dark. So then I tried other ways of using it, so since I was so accustomed to putting on moisturizer before my face products, I omitted that step and that improved the greasy feeling. (Duh). But still wasn't completely satisfied, so now I pretty much use it as a primer underneath powder foundation and that works perfectly.
OCC LIPTARS
OCC Liptars are beyond amazing! I picked these up at IMATS NYC this year at a discounted price of $10. These small tubes are so pigmented that you literally need a dab of it. Please do not apply this like lipgloss for you will be severely sorry. I suggest applying with a lip brush. It lasts all day, thus it being named lip tar! Liptars come in 36 shades and retails for $14.50. You can also mix these to make your own custom lipcolor. These are bomb dot com!
Maybelline color tattoos
In case you have been living under a rock, I'm sure you have seen these at your fave drugstores. They're comparable to MAC paintpots, but a fraction of the price. They come in ten different shades: tenacious teal, edgy emerald, bold gold, tough as toupe, pomegranate punk, bad to the bronze, audacious asphalt, fierce & tangy, too cool, and my fave, painted purple. They claim to last 24 hours. I've never worn them that long, but they definitely last all day. You can wear them as a base and top it with an eyeshadow or you can wear it alone. They're super pigmented and very affordable at $6.99. I suggest you try a few if you haven't already!
July/august '12 FAVORITES
These are a few of the items I've been reaching for the most in the month of July and August: Mary Kay Mineral Foundation in Bronze 2, Revlon Colorstay Aqua powder (to set my under eye concealer), Revlon Colorstay mineral finishing powder in Sunkiss as cheek highlight, NYX eyeshadow base in skin tone, Maybelline eyestudio gel liner, Maybelline color tattoo (every shade), Mary Kay eyebrow gel, MAC brown down eyeshadow, MAC extended play lash mascara, and my fave lip combo is occ liptar in belladonna topped with Mary Kay lipgloss in berry tart.

Naked 2 Palette!
I'm sure you all have heard of the Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay, but in case you haven't here's a quick introduction. Naked 2 is fairly similar to the first one, it does have more matte shadows however. You can purchase this palette for $50. As for all UD shadows, they are extremely pigmented. They blend easily and have strong staying power. If you are deciding between the original or the second palette, I suggest purchasing the first one. I like it better. The colors are a bit more diverse in the original. The second palette comes in a tin container, a large mirror, includes a dual sided brush (flat shader brush and a blending brush), and it also includes a sample size lip gloss. More pictures below:
